Effects of Bullying on School Students in Saudi Arabia
Abstract
The primary aim of this study was to determine the academic, social, and mental health effects of school bullying on students in Saudi Arabia. It also seeks to recommend approaches to mitigate such bullying. Previous studies have evaluated the phenomenon mainly from the perspective of students, based on data gathered on how bullying affects their lives and education. The current research analyzes the effects of bullying from the perspective of educators who encountered many cases of bullying over the course of their careers and are knowledgeable about its impact on students. The findings contribute to the increasing body of research on the effects of bullying, both globally and in the Middle East.
Keywords: school bullying, academic effects, social effects, psychological effects, Saudi Arabia.
